Vincent Van Gogh- Artist inspiration

Vincent Van Gogh is a dutch post-impressionist painter, not only is he my favourite artist of all time, but I am very heavily inspired by Vincent. In particular his “The Starry Night’ painting, that was done in 1889, it is the view that Vincent had of his Asylum room, the painting is from the night time however was painted during the day. Vincent Van Gogh painted a psychedelic like a view that he had of the Saint Remy De Provence. Vincent wrote a letter to his brother whilst he was in the asylum stating that ‘The Starry Night expresses the glimpse he saw whilst he was in isolation. Vincent Van Gogh had depression till he died, he is well known for cutting his ear off due to schizophrenia.
