Site Research (MY WORK)

For this project I am solely using work that I have produced within the months of January and May, linking with the theme of Melanoma. I have since been in touch with MelanomaMe, and they have very kindly accepted to hold my exhibition since it relates to spreading awareness. I initially proposed to have one room to exhibit but the ladies who run MelanomaMe liked my idea that much that they are allowing me to use all the rooms within the building if I need too. they have also told me that they are planning on buying the upstairs of the building so that will be all freshly painted up and free to use as an addition for my exhibition. There are two rooms downstairs excluding the kitchen, toilet and main waiting area, but we are waiting on the tenants upstairs to move out to find out how many rooms are upstairs. I have visited the MelanomaMe headquarters and have since found that I really like the spaces of the rooms and the lighting too. I will also be asking people when they arrive if they accept themselves to have photos done and also going to ask them to sign a slip to show that they know what they are going to look at as some of my artwork will have true stories in and may affect people. I will also be providing a service of food and drinks as a welcome toast, to make people feel more at ease.
