MELANOMA BADGE (MY WORK)

I painted this. when I initially came up with the theme of melanoma as a project idea. I painted on a canvas which is between A4 and A3. I painted the melanoma badge which is black, melanoma in Latin stands for the black tumour. I then applied bright colours paints mixed with gesso in the background as I truly believe that the badge should stand out, just like the breast cancer badge (everyone knows its pink). if I could do this painting again I would change the badge/ribbon to be more 3Deffect as I think the ribbon looks quite fast as I haven't gotten the proportions right. I mixed gesso with bright colours to ensure the background is really textured and does not look flat.
