Andy Warhol (RESEARCH)

Another artist who's work I really like is Andy Warhol who was an American artist, director, and producer who is most known for his visual art movement (pop art). Andy Warhol is most known for the famous art series 'Campbell's Soup cans/ which was a collective series of 32 Campbell's soup cans 1962. For a project that I am currently doing at university, I have been studying Andy Warhol's Endangered animals series where he created ten coloured screen prints that featured endangered animals around the world (1983), within the series Andy Warhol featured: Siberian tiger, Orang-utan, Bald eagle, Pine Barrens Tree frog, Giant panda, African elephant, San Francisco Silverspot, Bighorn Ram, Grevy's zebra, and Black Rhinoceros. Andy Warhol manages to use bright colours in order to show the animals faces which they always have sad looks on their faces, the works very well as it captivates the audiences perceiving it, which helps the work to have a more impactful meaning. Also, Andy gave these animals sad expressions as it shows what could be in the animal's fates, as they are very likely to die due to being heavily endangered.
